Industrial screw compressor inspection & overhauling

We can offer an industrial screw compressor in three different ways:

  1. Completely overhauled, suitable for immediate use
  2. Inspection only, for an installer to overhaul themselves
  3. In running condition, but it will require an overhaul in the future
The process of inspection and overhauling is different for each of these three ways. Below you can read more about how this works for every option

Completely overhauled

Completely overhauled for immediate use

For a screw/piston compressor that is completely overhauled and suitable for immediate use, the steps are as follows:
  • We conduct a thorough visual examination of the compressor and check the general status of all the parts
  • The clearance of the rotors/various parts is measured and checked against the original specifications
  • We disassemble all compressor parts and check them one by one
  • We remove all seals
  • All parts get cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner
  • We measure and check rotor shafts against the original specifications

For the assembly:

  • We install the compressor parts with new bearings and seals
  • We adjust rotor clearance
  • The complete compressor is being finished
  • The compressor is pressurized with nitrogen and we check for leaks

Inspection only

For a compressor we only inspect for an installer to overhaul, the process looks like this:
  • We conduct a thorough visual examination of the compressor and check the general status of all the parts.
  • The clearance of the rotors/various parts is measured and checked against the original specifications
  • We disassemble all compressor parts and check them one by one
  • We remove all seals
  • All parts get cleaned in an ultrasonic bath
  • We measure and check rotor shafts against the original specifications

For the assembly:

  • We install the compressor parts without new bearings and seals

Inspection only
In running condition

In running condition, in need of a future overhaul

For a compressor in running condition to be used immediately, but with the need to be overhauled in the future, these are the steps we go through:
  • We conduct a thorough visual examination of the compressor and check the general status of all the parts
  • The clearance of the rotors/various parts is measured and checked against the original specifications
  • We remove the slide valve and inspect all components visually
  • We remove all seals
  • Rotor shafts get measured and checked against the original specifications
  • Bearings get measured and are visually inspected
  • Disassembled parts get cleaned in an ultrasonic bath
  • If something does not comply, advice and a quote will be provided for the parts to be replaced

For the assembly:

  • We install the compressor parts with original or new bearings and new seals
  • We adjust rotor clearance
  • The complete compressor is being finished
  • The compressor is pressurized with nitrogen and we check for leaks

Good to know
